Azia Shabazz is a recent graduate from the University of North Alabama(UNA). She recently received a Bachelor of Science in Music with a minor in Business Administration. Shabazz is trained to perform in Italian,German, French, and English languages. She has performed with Shoals Symphony in the Pirates of the Caribbean, Home Alone, and Handel’s Messiah concerts. As a soprano,Ms.Shabazz has appeared in All State, solo and ensemble competitions as well as in the National Association of Teachers of Singing regular competitions. In December 2021, Ms.Shabazz was announced as a  finalist of Shoals Symphony’s Solo and Concerto competition.In January 2022, she performed her first recital in Florence,AL. Shabazz was the soloist at UNA’s choral production of John Rutter’s Gloria. She performed the national anthem for UNA’s ROTC Military Ball and baseball team which was aired on ESPN. Shabazz performed in the role of Giannetta in the UNA production of  Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love in April 2022. She is expected to perform the National Anthem for the 2023 Commencement Ceremony at the University of North Alabama.Shabazz is an active Army Reservist with a military occupational specialty of Logistics Management.
