Charles Daniel
Baritone
Baritone Charles Daniel was born in Birmingham, Alabama. While in Birmingham, he performed with Birmingham Music Clubs, UAB Opera, UAB Concert Choir, and UAB Chamber Singers. Roles included Vicomte Cascada in Birmingham Music Clubs The Merry Widow, and Cervantes / Don Quixote in UAB Opera' s production of The Man of La Mancha, The Abbot and Astrologer in Britten’s The Burning Fiery Furnace, Athamas in Handel’s Semele, and First Priest in The Magic Flute. Additionally, he won several departmental awards for his outstanding contributions to music at UAB. Other roles performed include Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus, Major General Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance, and Vater in Hänsel und Gretel. Charles is currently a Master Vocal Performance major at The University of Alabama, where he studies voice with Paul Houghtaling.
